Welcome to the photo gallery of Delavi’s virgin trip from Ft. Lauderdale to Stamford, CT.

The crew of Lars-Peter, Hans-Ole, Bo, Jesper and Peter left Ft. Lauderdale on April 25, 2004 at 12:15 PM sailing through the harbor of Ft. Lauderdale with all its bridges and many big yachts.

We stayed 3 days at sea cruising the Atlantic Ocean following the Gulf stream before getting ashore at Beaufort in North Carolina. Peter had to abandon ship to attend business in New York. The trip continued through the Intra Coastal Waterways to Newport News arriving Saturday May 1, 2004.

So the boat did not make it all the way to Long Island Sound as planned mostly due to wind direction in the Atlantic being right in the nose from North East despite a weather forecast promising something else.
